Toad and Snail

A friendly musical romp with two animal friends where absolutely nothing bad happens.
Poem by the wonderful and intimidating @aska. Reading, music, and photograph by Andy Rhodes

Toad encounters Snail along a busy trail

Where you going friend? Said Toad with a grin

I’m on my way to see a friend”

Well, hop on then!

“Can we stop along the way? I hear the flowers are beautiful today”

Anything you say! Just point the way!

Through fields of flowers, over bridges, under rocky ridges. Toad bounced along the trail with Snail.

Snail, let’s stop along the creek. I’d love a bite to eat.

They found a meadow around a bend where they laughed and chatted as if they were friends.

“Toad, why don’t you eat? These flowers are such treat

“I’ve never had so much fun” Snail said “and to think if you hadn’t found me l’d dead.

“But instead…”

Smack!

Crack!

Crunch!

And Snail was lunch!
